2000 Fetzer Vinyard Events

Sunday, June 11, 2000 - Cooking Class: "Country Italian Cuisine"
Guest Chefs Thomas Oden and Franco Dunn Thomas Oden and Franco Dunn, former chefs at Jordan Winery, and new owners of the Santi restaurant in Geyserville, will focus on the philosophy and ingredients behind Italian cooking and eating. Students will learn and taste the concept of different courses and their flow of ingredients as well as synergistic wine affinities. Class begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 12:00 Noon. Fee: $80 per person.

Saturday, June 17, 2000 - "Vineyard Tour"
Join Fetzer's vineyard specialist, Ken Boek, for a behind-the-scenes introduction to vineyards and grape growing. Among the topics covered will be organic farming techniques, cover crops, trellising, pruning and harvesting. Tours begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at 12:00 Noon. Fee: $15 per person.

Saturday and Sunday, June 24 & 25, 2000 - Special Event: "Art in our Garden"
Our first ever "Art in our Garden" will give amateur artists from around the country the opportunity to compete for over $10,000 in cash and prizes. This weekend's visual feast will include great wine, great music and fabulous watercolor, illustration and photo images of the Fetzer Valley Oaks property, one of the most beautiful places in Northern California. Cost: $5 for a commemorative glass and tasting.

Tuesday, June 27, 2000 - "Integrated Fitness Class"
Nutritionist, Connie Gutterson, and fitness instructor, Ruth Strader, team up and offer a morning of power Yoga followed by a nutrition seminar and healthy lunch in one of Mendocino County's most beautiful and tranquil settings. After lunch, Visitor Center Manager Brad McDonald will lead a brisk fitness walk around the vineyard. Class begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 2:00 p.m. Fee: $35 per person.
