WINEMAKER NOTES
Quality Zinfandel grapes went direct-to-press at the winery, to minimize color extraction from the red grape skins. The lightly colored juice was pumped into temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks quickly after pressing. A slow, cool fermentation at 55º F preserved the fresh Zinfandel fruit character of the finished wine.

The 1999 Fetzer White Zinfandel has an attractive medium-pink hue. Aromas of strawberry jam combine with floral notes to make this wine a natural for sipping on warm summer day. Flavors of cherry and strawberry lead to a mildly sweet, crisp, clean finish. Balanced fruit sweetness and moderate acidity give this wine a fresh, clean mouthfeel.

GRAPE SOURCING
Fruit for this wine is sourced from vineyards in virtually every popular Zinfandel growing region in California. All of the Zinfandel grapes were harvested in late September and early October 1999, at an average of 20° Brix.

FOOD RECOMMENDATIONS
