TWO NEW APPOINTMENTS AT FETZER
Hopland, Mendocino County, CA, March 1, 2000
- Two new employees joined Fetzer Vineyards in newly created positions
in February. David Perata joined Fetzer Vineyards as the Director
of Viticultural Projects. David Head joined Fetzer as Wine Inventory
Manager.
Perata will be responsible for managing Fetzer's vineyard acquisition
strategy, and will be accountable for the investigation, sourcing,
acquisition, and due diligence associated with vineyard purchases
for all Brown-Forman Wine Group brands throughout the state. He
will also be responsible for the accumulation and dissemination
of ongoing viticultural research.
Perata comes to Fetzer after eight years with Franciscan Estates
as Vineyard Director. David received his Bachelor of Science from
UC Davis in Viticulture.
Head will be responsible for managing the winery's bulk wine and
finished goods inventories. In this capacity, he will manage the
short and long range planning for grape sourcing and for forecasting
grape volumes and costs.
Head comes to Fetzer after 17 years with PG&E. He received his
Bachelor of Science from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in City and Regional
Planning. He was recently awarded an Associates Degree in Wine Marketing
and Sales from Santa Rosa Junior College.
